The rear seat cushion and backrest has a unique ‘Fold & Dive’ system to create a spacious, square-sided, completely flat cargo area. The passenger seat backrest can fold flat to accommodate extra-long loads and at the rear, the top-hinged tailgate features a flip-up window (like the Sorento) for added loading versatility. The spare wheel is carried internally, beneath the cargo area floor, so the gas-strut supported tailgate is easy to operate.
Sportage customer deliveries in Europe are scheduled to start during October and more than 20,000 models will be available for the European market during 2005 including right hand drive UK specification models.
