Sorento Is Instant Sales Hit

Kia Sorento

Initial stocks of the Kia Sorento XS, the affordable luxury 4x4, have been sold out within a week of launch.

Paul Williams, Managing Director of Kia Motors (UK) Limited said: "Initial demand is exceeding our wildest expectations and we are having to take urgent steps to remedy the situation. This success reinforces our proposition that Sorento is strong enough to shake some of the established off-roaders and confirms, if confirmation were necessary, that there is a ready market for a £20,000 plus Kia."

The Kia Sorento matches the style of a premium "off-roader" with the strength of a rugged workhorse. With a traditional separate chassis, Sorento has an impressive maximum towing weight of 2800kg allied to the looks that would not disgrace a prestige 4x4 with a £30,000 plus price tag.

The Sorento is available in the UK powered by the 2.5-litre Common Rail diesel engine with two specification levels: XE & XS. Both are available with manual or automatic transmission.
