New Managing Director For Kia Motors UK

Paul Williams, 41, has been Sales & Marketing Director of Mitsubishi Motors UK since September 1999. Prior to that he spent eight years at Daihatsu UK progressing through sales and dealer development roles to be Managing Director between 1995-1999. His previous experience in the motor industry was with Mercedes, Nissan and Peugeot-Talbot.
Announcing this appointment C K Lee, President of Kia Motors UK said: "Kia has enjoyed significant success in the UK since 1999. However, with an ever strengthening model line-up and the direct involvement of Kia Motors Corporation, it is time to implement strategies to take Kia’s development to the next level. Paul Williams has the background and skills to take Kia rapidly up to a 1% market share and beyond."
Paul Williams said: "Kia’s achievements in recent years have gained recognition across the industry. However, the real potential for Kia is only just beginning to be realised in the UK. It is therefore a fantastic time to be joining a company at such an exciting stage in its development."
Kia Motors (UK) Limited succeeded Kia Cars (UK) Limited (owned by MCL
Group) as the UK distributor on 7 August 2002. Kia Motors (UK) is a wholly
owned subsidiary of Kia Motors Corporation.
