Kia Magentis ICE

Ease of Use

The Magentis was very easy to drive and visibility was excellent all round although parking sensors would be a welcome addition due to its length. The steering was light which also aided parking in tight spaces.

The cabin ergonomics were simple, driver focused and purely functional. Our only complaint was the lack of fine adjustment of the drivers seat.

The boot is large for a car of this class and offers a 60:40 split rear seat for larger loads. The boot mechanism is aided by gas-filled struts for smooth operation as is the bonnet. Access to the boot is via a switch situated in the drivers door however, it would be helpful to have a boot release on the key fob for ease of access.

The lack of remote central door locking lets the Magentis down but it is standard on the 2.0 LX and 2.5 SE V6 models.

Safety and Security

The following safety & security equipment is standard on the Kia Magentis ICE:

ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), Front Ventilated Disc Brakes and rear disc brakes, Driver's and front passenger airbag, Passenger presence detect, Engine immobiliser, Child proof rear door locks, Side door impact beams, Front seatbelt pre-tensioners, Front seatbelt load limiters, Front seatbelt buckle sensors, Height adjustable front seatbelts, 3 x 3 point rear seatbelts, ISOFIX child seat anchors, Height adjustable front head restraints, Height adjustable rear head restraints x 3, High level rear brake light and Security window etching.
