Kia Bucks The Trend

Kia is the fastest growing car manufacturer in the UK and Europe. Sales in the UK in May were 107% up on 2002 in a market that was down by 4% giving Kia an impressive market share of 0.85%. Sales year-to-date are up 47% in a market down 3%.

Paul Williams, Managing Director of Kia Motors (UK) Limited said: "Kia is set for a record breaking year. The fact that the brand can make such excellent progress in such a keenly contested marketplace pays testimony to the strength of our products and the professionalism of our dealers and Head Office team. The fact that our unique consumer offers have been so well received by the public has also played a significant part in this success."

He added: "While the New Rio and Sedona continue to be our best selling cars, the New Carens and Sorento are performing strongly, with Sportage also showing a resurgence in sales."
