Kia Sportage Crowned 4x4 Magazine's Best Budget Off-Roader
Published: 11th October 2002
The Sportage was credited by the judges as being the only true off-roader in its group, with firm-footed stability and solid engine, and for being the most practical vehicle in its category. Quality of trim and upholstery caught the judges’ attention, as did the equipment levels and spacious, airy cabin.
The Sportage is well established in the 4x4 market, having been launched originally in 1995. The current Sportage XSE model is available at £12,995 and boasts the price and equipment levels for which Kia has become renowned. Standard equipment includes power steering, all-round electric windows and mirrors, and tinted glass, plus ABS, alloy wheels, air conditioning, rear roof spoiler, roof rails, rear wheel cover and remote central door locking. The XSE is either available in ebony black or cool silver metallic.
All Kia cars benefit from a three-year/unlimited mileage warranty, six-year
anti-perforation warranty and three-years’ European roadside assistance
