Kia Beats 2002 Total Sales

Kia Motors Corporation took over Kia in the UK a year ago today
Kia’s ongoing success continues: Kia has today beaten last year’s total sales of 12,351 with 12,365 units to date. With just under five months to run including the September registration month, 2003 looks set to smash Kia’s previous sale records with Kia’s ambitious target of 20,000 cars for the year being within reach.
Today’s latest results already secure Kia’s fifth consecutive record year. Kia reached this landmark exactly one year after Kia Motors Corporation took over car distribution in the UK.
Paul Williams, Managing Director of Kia Motors UK Ltd said: "2003 is proving to be a record breaking year at Kia. Surpassing our previous best sales result so early in the year is a fantastic result and bears testimony to the passion, ability and commitment of our dealer network and Kia Motors UK staff. The fact that this landmark was passed on the anniversary of direct involvement from Kia Motors Corporation reinforces what can be done."
Looking back on the year Paul Williams continues: "The
astonishing success of the Sorento, recent winner of 4x4 Magazine
Car of the Year 2004, is unquestionable proof that Kia is delivering
on its goal to deliver the highest quality product at value for
money prices; and is a clear statement of intent from Kia."
