Kia Picanto Review

Kia Picanto
Build Quality
Very good, there is little to fault, yes we could pick faults and issues but we would only be looking to fill this space. Overall we were very impressed with the Picanto and would have no hesitation in recommending this car.
Value For Money
We have awarded the Kia Picanto 5 stars for value for money as it is outstanding. It sets the benchmark that other manufacturers have to follow. It is a shame that it lacks side airbags and 5 year warranty, but I can forgive those points for an on the road price starting at £ 5,495. The model we tested the 1.1 SE is priced at £7,295. You can have an automatic option on the 1.1 LX for £800 more than the manual version. Running costs are minimal service intervals are 10,000 or 1 year and insurance groups are low.
Overall Opinion
Kia has moved significantly forward with the Picanto, and will have rattled a few manufacturers’ cages. It is a car that is up there with the best, but it is cheaper than most of its peers. We have noticed an increasing number of driving schools using the Picanto which makes sense as it is so easy to drive.
Kia Motors brand slogan is 'the power to surprise' and we certainly were surprised and impressed with the Picanto. If you are looking for a small hatchback you must test drive the Picanto to experience what a good package Kia have put together.
