Kia Adds Petrol To Carens Line-Up

Published: 22nd April 2005

Kia expands their mid-sized MPV line-up with the introduction of the Carens 2.0 petrol GS with a price tag of just £9,995.

The modern four cylinder DOHC 16 valve 2.0 petrol engine features CVVT (continuously variable valve timing) generating 136 bhp and delivers a combined fuel consumption of 34.9 mpg.

Entry level doesn’t mean basic when it comes to Kia’s range and the Carens GS is packed full of the usual Kia specifications: air conditioning; front and rear electric windows; electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors; and body coloured bumpers and door handles while a rear load cover, roof rails and Michelin tyres complete the look.

For safety, the Carens GS comes with ABS with EBD and features remote central door locking.

All Carens customers can take advantage of Kia’s £1 deposit and seven days free drive-away insurance offer.

Pricing

Kia has published its latest price list after the £5 increase in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED). Kia has maintained the existing price positioning of all affected models, with the exception of the Sorento diesel automatics which have increased by £100.

The on-the-road price of the Cerato 1.6 GS has been reduced to £8,995 and the Sedona 2.5 V6 L entry pricing has been reduced to £13,995.
