Jaguar Announces XJ 2.7 Diesel Prices | Part Three

High levels of specification levels as standard

The XJ TDVi will be priced from £43,995 for the Executive model, while the Sovereign and Sport Premium models will be priced at £49,995, with standard wheelbase only available. Alongside these models, XJ petrol models range from £41,995 for the 3.0 litre V6 Executive with extremely competitive pricing all the way up to the range topping £74,995 for the Super V8 Long Wheelbase.

The XJ line-up has been rationalised by reducing the number of models and focusing on a stronger value proposition across the entire range. As a result, the SE models have been deleted and replaced by improved value Sovereign models. In addition, the Long Wheelbase package is strengthened by standardising the optional features that customers typically choose.

The new XJ Diesels feature a high level of specification as standard. The XJ TDVi Executive sets the tone for the XJ Diesel line-up with a wide range of standard equipment including cruise control, air-damped suspension, Dynamic Stability Control and Jaguar´s advanced safety system: Adaptive Restraint Technology System (A.R.T.S). Exterior detailing is chrome with new 18" Tucana alloy wheels. Inside there is electric adjustment for the steering column, pedals, driver and front passenger seat, automatic climate control, Comfort leather upholstery, burr walnut veneer fascia and trims.

The XJ TDVi Sport Premium and Sovereign models are priced identically. From £49,995 on the road, the Sport Premium offers drivers a more sporty environment with standard features including the 8.5" x 19" Custom cast alloy wheels, xenon headlights, power folding electrochromic mirrors, and Front Park Assist. The special R Performance seats feature electric cushion length and vertical lumbar adjustment for the driver seat. The front seats have a variable heating system for cushion and squab. A new aluminium fascia, satellite navigation and Jaguar Voice have also been added to the standard specification list.

The lavishly equipped Sovereign adds 16-way electric front seats upholstered in ruched, soft grain leather, 18" Rapier alloy wheels, xenon headlights and an electric rear sunblind. LWB includes rear seat multimedia controls for the rear LCD video screens and DVD player, as well as individual control of the sound system. Advanced communications technology is fitted as standard, and includes Bluetooth, touch screen navigation, 4 zone air conditioning, rear screens and 12-speaker Alpine Premium sound, which can all be controlled by Jaguar Voice for convenience and safety.

At the top of the standard wheelbase petrol range, the supercharged XJR's dynamic performance, priced at £61,995 on the road, is highlighted by its exterior styling. The unique trademark mesh grille, race-inspired new 19" Sabre alloy wheels and new performance brake callipers all underpin the XJR's sporting spirit. Inside, there are contoured, powered heated seats and an aluminium veneer is available as a no cost option. The distinctive R gearshift logo crowns the responsive ZF six-speed transmission with its optional sports settings. Jaguar's DVD-based touch screen navigation technology is fitted as standard.

The range-topping 400bhp XJ Super V8 long wheelbase flagship at £74,995 on the road combines its searing performance with an unparalleled level of luxury and technology. The Bluetooth telephone connectivity, touch screen navigation, 4 zone air conditioning and 12-speaker Alpine Premium sound can all be controlled by Jaguar Voice. Rear seat multimedia controls are provided for the rear LCD video screens and DVD player as well as for individual control of the sound system. Soft-grain ruched leather seats and door inserts combine with the burr walnut facia and overhead console to cocoon driver and passengers in optimum luxury. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is standard.
