The team at Hatfields Jaguar Wakefield is celebrating after the site was named ‘Franchised Dealership of the Year’ at the prestigious Motor Trader Industry Awards on 11 July 2007, putting Hatfields ahead of all other carmaker-approved dealers across the UK.
Gareth Williams, Managing Director of the Hatfields group, collected the award from comedian Ronnie Corbett in front of an audience of more than 1,200 people at a glittering ceremony held at the luxurious Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The ‘Franchised Dealership of the Year’ category recognises excellence across the whole spectrum of business activities, including marketing, aftersales, new and used car sales, and training.
Editor of Motor Trader Curtis Hutchinson outlined the reasons for Hatfields’ success in this year’s awards.
“Under the inspiring leadership of dealer principal Andy Maddock, Hatfields Jaguar in Wakefield is focusing on its local retail market and offering customers the best sales and service experience it can deliver,” he said.
This accolade continues a winning run for Hatfields: Jaguar Cars proclaimed Hatfields ‘Sales Dealership of the Year’ in March 2006, and this was followed by the Denby Dale Road dealer topping the charts for customer satisfaction in the entire UK Jaguar network.
Commenting on the latest victory, Williams said, “Being named ‘Franchised Dealership of the Year’ by the judging panel at Motor Trader is a real honour. It acknowledges the exceptional achievements of the Hatfields Wakefield team in every area of the business. I am immensely proud of the efforts of all the staff and I look forward to further success with the Jaguar franchise in the future.”
The selection process for the Motor Trader Industry Awards is widely regarded as the most rigorous in the automotive world. Written submissions, site visits and interviews all contribute to the assessment.
