Hyundai's Trajet Has Added Specs Appeal

And July sees the launch of the limited edition Trajet SE, which has approximately £2,400 worth of extra equipment for only slightly more than the cost of the 2.0 GSI.

The SE model comes with all the equipment to get a busy family through the summer holidays and beyond … DVD player, privacy glass, SmartNav satellite navigation and reversing sensors are all standard.

The Trajet SE is available as a petrol or diesel, with both manual and automatic options. Prices start at only £16,495.

The rest of the Trajet range has also benefited from a series of improvements, cementing its status as one of the best value full size seven seaters on the market – and the only one with a five year unlimited mileage warranty.

The petrol 2.0 GSI now benefits from the CVVT engine previously seen in the Coupe – as a result, power increases from 133 to 139bhp@6000rpm, while CO2 emissions tumble from 223g/km to 208g/km.

Fuel consumption is also improved; on the urban run the 2.0 GSI returns 25.2mpg (up from 21.9mpg), while the combined fuel consumption rises from 30.4mpg to 32.5mpg.

Equipment for the 2.0 GSI and 2.0 CRTD GSI remain at their same incredibly high levels. This includes: driver, passenger and side airbags, anti lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, power steering, seat belt pretensioners, front and rear air conditioning, electric front and rear windows, stereo RDS radio/CD unit, double folding second and third row seats (second and third row seats are removable), and sliding outer seats on second row.

In addition all Trajets now feature a third three point seat belt in the rear, which means all passengers have the protection of a full seat belt.

All Hyundai models come with a full five year, unlimited mileage warranty which is transferable between owners. Hyundai is still the only manufacturer to offer a permanent, unlimited mileage transferable five year warranty in the UK.

As a consumer incentive, all facelifted Trajets bought between 1 July and 30 September will benefit from three years’ free servicing – making the Trajet undoubtedly the best protected MPVs available.
