Hyundai Getz 1.3 CDX
On a practical level the Getz 1.3 CDX incorporates good sized front door pockets, all round electric windows, driver and passenger vanity mirrors, seat back pockets, the passenger seat has a shopping bag hook which can hold up to 3kg, map reading lights, a light in the luggage compartment, stowage on each side of the boot area, storage tray under the steering wheel, trip computer, audible lights-on warning, digital clock, drinks holders, deep glovebox, remote fuel filler release and a cigarette lighter/ashtray.
The boot is spacious for a car of this size and the folding rear seats split 60/40. The low sill also facilitates easy loading of bulky items.
Safety and Security
The following safety & security equipment is standard on the Hyundai Getz 1.3 CDX: driver and front passenger airbag's, front side airbag's, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), engine immobiliser, side impact bars, high mounted brake light, rear fog lamp, keyless entry and alarm, child-proof rear door locks, central door locking, 3 point rear seat belts x 3, adjustable rear seat head restraints x 3, adjustable front head restraints, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, height-adjustable front seat belts with pre-tensioners, collapsible steering column and front fog lamps.
Comfort and Refinement
The interior of the Getz has been designed with the European market in mind. The cabin is roomy and both head and leg room is good in the front and rear. The dashboard is ergonomically laid out and the controls are all within the drivers reach.
On CDX models the drivers seat has a dual height adjuster and lumbar support. The seats are comfortable but ultimately lack good lateral support and are a bit on the hard side especially on longer journeys. The steering wheel is adjustable enabling you to find the perfect driving position. The front and rear head restraints are height adjustable for safety and comfort.
