Hyundai 'Getz' You More When You Come To Sell!
Published: 16th October 2002
CAP Auto Monitor stated the Getz, which went on sale last week, will give its typical competitors (such as the Volkswagen Polo and Toyota Yaris) a run for their money when it comes to running costs and future resale values.
And Hyundai’s pioneering five year manufacturer-backed, unlimited mileage across-the-range warranty (the UK’s first), will help enhance the whole Getz experience, according to CAP.
CAP has calculated the ownership cost of a Hyundai Getz to be just 16.5p a mile over three years and 60,000 miles, a highly favourable figure compared to the likes of the Peugeot 206, Renault Clio and Vauxhall Corsa.
CAP’s survey said: "The Getz takes the concept of low front end price, together with extremely high specification and a five year warranty, to achieve comparable running costs with traditionally higher image European-brand vehicles."
Added Jeff Knight, CAP Editor: "The fit and finish of the exterior panels is good and this is backed-up by an extremely roomy and well constructed interior with plenty of storage, comfort and safety features, including driver, passenger and side airbags.
"Its future success as a used car will be enhanced by its five year warranty which will not only be welcomed by customers but, also dealers, looking for trouble-free affordable used car retail stock both in and out of the Hyundai dealer network," he said.
Getz prices start at £6,995 on-the-road for the 1.1
GSi three-door, rising to £10,145 for the 1.6 CDX five-door
and 1.6 Sport three-door. All models come with anti-lock brakes,
CD player, driver and passenger airbags and electric front
windows as standard.
