Hyundai Teams Up With Gordon Ramsay
To Support His Scholar Award
Programme
Hyundai has teamed up with the Gordon Ramsay Scholar Award 2004 to provide a tasty treat for one talented up-and-coming chef … a brand new Hyundai Getz!
The award was created by Gordon in 2001 to encourage and recognise the talents of young cooks from colleges across the UK or those already working in the industry.
The Gordon Ramsay Scholar Award makes it possible for one or more of these budding cooks to gain valuable working experience in some of the best kitchens in the world – perhaps realising a dream or opening new doors.
The 2004 Gordon Ramsay Scholar, who will be announced at the Restaurant Show, London in September, can also look forward to driving away in a new Getz 1.1 GSI worth £6,995.
Gordon said: "We are looking for the cooks of the future, who can show us that they are talented, dedicated and determined to reach the top of their profession. This could be the opportunity of a lifetime.
"I am very happy to welcome Hyundai as one of our major sponsors, particularly as they are from outside the catering industry and can help us increase awareness of the award programme across the length and breadth of the country."
Jim Campbell, Hyundai Marketing Director added: "We are delighted to be working with Gordon and his team. We are particularly impressed with the passion and commitment that is being demonstrated in identifying the chefs of the future from a grass roots level. In this particular sponsorship programme we find our values – passion, pioneering, hungry to learn, integrity and teamwork – admirably mirrored."

Sunday (23 May) saw his latest television venture, Hell’s Kitchen, begin a two week live run on ITV1.
In Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon has the task of training up 10 celebrities to work in his London restaurant in just one week.
The celebrities include former Bros singer Luke Goss, crime buster Roger Cook, actress/singer Jennifer Ellison and singer Belinda Carlisle.
