New Year, New Products And New Deals From Honda

Honda cars have always been highly specified relative to competitors, and the trend continues with further enhancements for the 2003 model year. The changes can be summarised as follows….

• Jazz: CD tuners replace radio cassettes on S and SE grade.
• Civic 3 door: CD tuners replace radio cassettes on S and SE, SE petrol now has similar specification to the diesel model (gains alloy wheels and leather steering wheel, but loses the sunroof); the 3dr SE Sport gets an ultrasonic alarm in place of the previous perimetric one. All versions have clear side indicator lenses.
• CR-V: All models gain ultrasonic alarms, while the boot release button is now on the driver’s door.
• Stream: additional refinements include clear side indicator, illuminated ignition switch barrel, new "wave" type key, black dashboard – and black seat fabric for the 2.0 SE Sport.

Many of Honda’s 2003 models are offered with new colours. Four new shades are offered for the Stream and two each for the HR-V and Legend to replace discontinued colours in each case. The S2000 is now available in three special order premium colours – Monza Red Pearl, Imola Orange Pearl and Lime Green Metallic – which complement the standard colour line up.

If March is the most popular time to purchase a new car, then it is certainly a timely month to buy a Honda. Good news for retail buyers is that the Honda Civic Imagine special editions and the consumer offers that accompany them continue until 28 March. Five versions of the Imagine are currently available in a range of
3 and 5 door body styles with different engine and gearbox options, and at prices between £10,000 and £13,000. They offer customer savings of up to £995 over similarly specified regular Civic models, as well as free servicing for two years / 24,000 miles – and a free £300 deposit contribution, when purchased using Honda Aspirations PCP finance.

There’s an offer too on the Jazz 1.4 i-DSi entry model. Until 28 March, retail customers will be eligible for a free £300 deposit contribution, when purchased using Honda Aspirations PCP finance – and those aged between 25 and 40 will be offered one year’s free insurance.
