Accord Ready For Battle

It has been a long wait since last September when Honda’s sleek new Accord first met public gaze at the Paris Motor Show. Since then more than a hundred motoring journalists have driven the car, many more have written about it. Already it has notched up a handful of magazine group test wins….
Now comes the ultimate test, what the customers think of it. From 7 February, they will be able to see, feel and get behind the wheel of the new Accord at their local Honda dealership. They will be able to smell the leather, examine the paintwork lustre and judge for themselves the superb engineering integrity of the new Accord.
And, then there’s the driving experience….
Honda believes that the car stands side by side with the all of the ‘quality’ opposition, including the Audi A4, Rover 75, Saab 9-3 and VW Passat ranges, and yet it will have generous specification levels and a very competitive entry level price of just £16,495.
The range comprises five distinct models, 2.0 SE, 2.0 Sport, 2.0 Executive, 2.4 Type S and 2.4 Executive. All are exceptionally well equipped with items such as alloy wheels, dual zone climate control, outside temperature indicator, six-speaker CD audio systems and blackout 3D dashboard illumination standard across the range. And all feature front, side and the largest side curtain SRS airbags in class.
