Front ventilated and rear disc brakes with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Emergency Brake Assist are standard throughout the Honda CR-V model range ensuring that it brakes reassuringly well.
Ease of Use
The Honda CR-V is a very intuitive car to drive and overall visibility is excellent. The cabin is uncluttered, ergonomically laid out and the controls are easy to use. The dash-mounted handbrake lever is a little awkward to operate but once you get the hang of it, it soon becomes second nature.
The boot is relatively large and deep and the CR-V is equipped with a retractable/removable load cover. The tailgate opens 90 degrees for total access and the 'swing up' glass hatch in the tailgate can be opened via the key fob or a remote interior switch and is useful for loading or retrieving items in tight parking spaces or for more discreet access.
The rear seats feature a 60:40 rear split and also slide up to 170cm enabling you push them back for maximum passenger comfort or forward to extend boot capacity. The rear seats also fold flat to the front seats simply at the pull of a handle.
On a practical level the Honda CR-V 2.2 i-CTDi Sport incorporates a wealth of thoughtful interior features including door bins, folding front centre storage tray, front and rear cup holders, front passenger seat under tray, luggage tie down rings, driver & passenger seatback pocket, rear under floor storage for wet items (in boot), boot integrated folding picnic table, footrest, cruise control, 3 x grab rails and a rear 12v power outlet.
