Honda FR-V
Comfort and Refinement
Whilst developing the FR-V Honda's aim was 'to create a family car that cleverly combines versatility with quality and style' and they have certainly succeeded creating a 'more adaptable, social space'.
As we discussed earlier the FR-V is a very easy vehicle get in and out of and head room, leg room and shoulder width is excellent. Having said this three adults in the front is a bit of a squeeze and a child is more suited to the front centre seat.
The seats are large and well padded but in our opinion are not that supportive. The drivers seat is adjustable for height and recline via levers but we would prefer to see adjustment via a rotary dial for fine control. The leather covered steering wheel is adjustable for reach and rake enabling you to find the perfect driving position.
Overall the level of refinement is high and includes: climate controlled air-conditioning with cabin filter, foot rest, electrically adjustable & heated door mirrors, cruise control, driver & passenger vanity mirror with lid in sunshade, front and rear cupholders, power assisted steering, front and rear electric windows and trip computer.
How It Looks - Exterior
The Honda FR-V's styling is bold and incorporates the 3+3 seating arrangement perfectly without making the exterior look bulky. The FR-V's face has borrowed styling cues from the Accord and CR-V with its prominent grille with 3 chrome bars and the long, light clusters sweep upwards into the wing line softening the FR-V's profile. We really liked the exterior looks which we found modern, unusual and attractive.
