The Volkswagen Passat model range lies within the price bracket of £17,000 - £32,780. The Passat has been awarded a five star NCAP Adult rating by the European New Car Assessment Programme out of a possible five stars. Based on this Euro NCAP rating the Passat fairs very well in an accident having been given the highest possible result. Volkswagen Passat insurance groups start at group 8 and rise to group 18. Base models are below average to insure, whilst the higher specification cars are expensive (group 20 being the highest rating) to insure.
