The Saab 9-5 model range lies within the price bracket of £19,580 - £24,723. The 9-5 has been awarded a five star NCAP Adult rating by the European New Car Assessment Programme out of a possible five stars. Based on this Euro NCAP rating the 9-5 fairs very well in an accident having been given the highest possible result. Saab 9-5 insurance groups start at group 14 and rise to group 18. Base models are above average to insure, whilst the higher specification cars are expensive (group 20 being the highest rating) to insure.
