Security Improvement For Latest Ford Transit

All owners of 2000-2003 model year Ford Transit are being offered an improvement to the security system on their vehicle at no charge.

Ford is writing to all owners of Transits from 2000-2003 model year to advise them to contact their local Ford Transit Specialist Dealer in order to arrange for the security improvement to their vehicle at their earliest convenience. All vehicles in production and stock are being upgraded with immediate effect.

"We were alerted to a new method of attack by thieves on Transit and our engineers immediately developed an improvement in the security for all owners. This action shows how we aim to stay one step ahead of the criminal world," said Gary Whittam, commercial vehicles director, Ford of Britain.

Customers who need further information should contact their local Ford Transit Specialist Dealer.
