Ford Commercial Vehicles had an outstanding year for sales in 2002 and led the market with 23.4 per cent of all sales.
- Ford Transit was medium commercial vehicle market leader for the 37th consecutive year with record sales of 55,346 vehicles.
- Ford Ranger also had record sales of 4,402 vehicles.
- Transit Connect got off to a great start when it went on sale in September 2002, with 2,445 sales by the end of the year.
- Overall, Ford commercial vehicle sales were 74,507, 23.4% of the total commercial vehicle market – even though Ford only competes in the light and medium market segments.
