The stars of the hit motoring programme Used Car Roadshow will be travelling around the country in both style and economy thanks to one of the North’s famous family dealership. The Eddie Wright Car Supermarket in Scunthorpe has lent Penny Mallory and Jason Dawe a Ford Mondeo Estate for the duration of the filming of the second series.
Jason said: "The Mondeo TDCi has been averaging around 45mpg and it’s big enough to fit loads of gear into - essential when you are carrying cameras, scripts and all the other gear we need on the show".
Former World Rally Driving Champion Penny Mallory added: "I’m enjoying the Mondeo, from a drivers point of view it has a cracking chassis and although it’s an estate it handles every bit as good as the hatchback or saloon".
The new series will see Jason and Penny travelling the length and breadth of the country as they help buyers find the car of their dreams at a price they can afford. Last year they clocked up around 6,000 miles during the filming and this year they may even top that!
The new series of Used Car Roadshow is on ITV Men and Motors, Sky EPG 131, every Monday at 9pm.
