The Ford Focus C-MAX went on sale in the UK on the 18th October 2003 - C-MAX is Ford speak for Comfort Maximisation. The C-MAX is a five seater compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) or if you prefer a small people carrier. Ford’s marketing division must have noticed one or two Citroen Xsara Picasso's, Renault Scenic's and Vauxhall Zafira's on the road over the years and thought they were missing a compact MPV in their portfolio. The Ford Focus C-MAX is a new addition to the Focus range, which brings greater space, flexibility and comfort, without compromising the acclaimed Focus driving quality.
With its sleek, profile, contemporary styling, flexible spacious interior and confident dynamic capabilities, the all-new Ford Focus C-MAX is poised to change customer expectations of what a family car can be.
The Focus C-MAX also completes Ford’s range of multi-activity vehicles, offering another choice between the compact, new Ford Fusion and the seven-seat Ford Galaxy multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
The C-MAX is available with 9 engine variants and 4 trim specifications - ranging from the 1.6 Studio (£13695) through to the 2.0 TDCi Ghia (£ 19,190) - since initial publication Ford have added a range topping Ultima TDCi which costs £19,750 on the road.
