Among a large number of interesting options available for the new Fiat Ulysse MPV, which went on sale here last weekend, Fiat Auto (UK) is offering an attractively priced in-car DVD entertainment system for rear seat passengers.
Available even for Ulysse versions fitted with a triple sunroof option, the system incorporates DVD/CD/MP3; two sets of IR headphones, remote control, and a fully adjustable 7 inch TFT LCD roof-mounted fold-down screen, which can be easily adjusted to suit the height of passengers. The screen is released from the roof by pressing a button on the centre of the unit.
This exclusive package, produced in association with Veba, not only allows rear seat passengers to enjoy movies of their choice, it also allows them access to their own choice of music (separate from those in the front), either in CD or MP3 format.
The Veba system is controlled by a full function remote control unit that will access all menus for the DVD, CD or MP3 playback, and the package can be expanded to play a games console through it by adding a power invertor and AV input connector that will become available through Fiat Auto’s UK dealer network.
The Veba unit is carefully housed to blend with Ulysse interior design, as well as to hide it from prying eyes. It also comes with its own 12 month (extendable) warranty.
The comprehensively equipped new Ulysse went on sale on Saturday 15 February, with a list price under-cutting its nearest rivals by as much as £1000, and with the attractive customer offer of 0% finance over 48 months with a 35% deposit.
The Veba system, which becomes available at the end of March, is priced at £1410.00 including VAT.Published 22 February 2003
