Fiat has introduced two new engines to the 500L range, both outputting 120 BHP, one diesel and the other petrol. The two new engines will be available from mid-March 2014.
Fiat 500L 1.6 MultiJet II 120 HP Diesel
The 1.6 MultiJet II develops 120hp at 3,750 rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. Acceleration is 0-62 mph in 10.7 seconds with a top speed of 117 mph. The official combined consumption figure is 61.4 mpg (NEDC figures) with CO2 emissions of 120 g/km.
Fiat 500L 1.4 T-Jet 120 HP Petrol
The new 1.4 T-Jet 120 BHP Petrol engine again develops 120hp but at 5,000 rpm with 215Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. The top speed is 117 mph, were the 0-62 mph time is 10.2 seconds with a combined cycle figure of 40.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 159 g/km.
Fiat 500L Packs
Two new option packs have been introduced for the Fiat 500L and 500L MPW.
The new “Premium Pack” (£1,300) which is only available on Lounge model offers Full beige or grey leather upholstery; a ParkView rear parking camera and a five-inch touchscreen Uconnect system with DAB and satellite navigation.
The “Living Pack” (£450 on top of the Premium Pack) comprises heated front seats, height adjustable front seats, driver- and passenger-seat adjustable lumbar support and a front arm rest.Published 13 March 2014
