Daihatsu Continues Sales Success Into 2004
Published: 18th February 2004
Daihatsu, which sells a range of city cars with outstanding performance and environmental credentials, saw a sales increase of 138 per cent in January 2004 compared to 2003.
Operations Director Paul Hegarty said the increase followed the company’s tactical range realignment during 2003 and the introduction of two key new models.
"This result reflects the significant and ongoing change we are making to the franchise," explained Paul. "Our dealer network has been strengthened following several appointments in key locations, while our model line-up features an attractive range of sophisticated, high value cars in the increasingly popular city car sector.
"We now have a compact car to suit any taste, from the Terios 4x4 compact sport-utility vehicle and highly acclaimed Charade hatchback to the stylish new Copen, a turbocharged sportscar with an electrically operated hard folding roof."
