Citroen Gives Diesel A VTR Boost

Performance and diesel – two words that don’t usually make it into the same sentence. But Citroen’s latest offering from its renowned sporty VTR stable, the new Xsara 2.0HDi 110hp VTR Coupe, with a top speed of 121 mph and maximum 184 lb/ft of torque, is set to challenge such traditional thinking.

Economy and fun – two more words that aren’t often seen together. But the new Xsara VTR Coupe, powered by Citroen’s highly acclaimed 2.0HDi turbo diesel, offers drivers both, combining an ability to stretch a gallon of fuel for almost 55 miles in everyday use, together with the driving pleasure derived from its strong mid-range acceleration.

High equipment levels and low prices – kitted out with four airbags, ABS with EBD and EBA, automatic air conditioning, an RDS stereo/radio CD player, integrated fog lights and sports alloy wheels as standard, the new Xsara 2.0HDi VTR Coupe comes with £1,200 cashback until the end of September, making it available for just £11,795.

So, the new Xsara 2.0HDi VTR Coupe, with its tax-busting CO2 figure of 138 g/km and 0-62 mph time of 10.2 seconds, ably combines entertaining performance and handling with all the benefits of diesel technology and low running costs. Now new car buyers can follow both their hearts and heads.
