The pesky Citroen Xsara Picasso robots are springing back to life in a brand new TV commercial in a sequel to the award winning advert that saw them coming to life on the car’s production line.
The new ad sees a security guard investigating a disturbance on the production line, whilst it is quiet at night. He discovers the mischievous robots have stripped a car and used the parts to create a huge Picasso-esque sculpture that towers over him.
Startled, the security guard runs to fetch his superior, only to return and find that the robots have miraculously restored order and the car has been returned to perfect condition on their return - as before, the robots have the last laugh.
Managing Director of Citroen UK Ltd, Alain Favey said: "These rebellious yet playful robots have helped us to sell over 100,000 Picassos already, making it the best selling MPV in the country. The new commercial will encourage people to free their minds and find out just why the Xsara Picasso has become so popular."Published 5 January 2003
