To complete the full range of passive safety features, driver’s, passenger’s and front lateral airbags are fitted as standard, while all seatbelts are three-point inertia reel, with pyrotechnic pretensioners in the front. Additionally, Isofix child seat anchorage points are fitted in the rear.
Active safety is addressed by the long wheelbase and wide tracks, which ensure excellent roadholding and stability. The C3 Pluriel also comes fitted with ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and EBA (Emergency Braking Assistance) as standard.
Thanks to multiplex technology C3 Pluriel offers additional safety and security features, such as automatic activation of the hazard warning lights in the event of rapid braking, a programmable audible over-speed alarm, a visual warning on the instrumentation panel if the driver forgets to belt up and automatic locking when the car is in motion.
The C3 Pluriel’s security levels also offer owners extra peace of mind. Highly resilient metal cross-members built-in to the multi-layered fabric roof act as a solid defence against an attempted break-in, while all models come with a lockable boot security cover for when the roof and rear screen are stowed away.
Remote control central locking with deadlocks is also standard as is a lockable glovebox and a dashboard mounted locking button for all the doors and rear windows. On top of all this, an anti-theft alarm is also standard on 1.6i 16V models.
