Citroen C3 Pluriel Market Story - A Three-Door Supermini Like No Other

The fact that the C3 Pluriel can’t be pigeonholed into a standard category means that all sorts of customers will be attracted by its style and versatility. Quite simply there is no other car quite like it and, with all its different body styles, the C3 Pluriel will appeal to a wide and varied range of ‘active’, fun-seeking, car buyers.

Citroen C3 Pluriel In Detail - Styling

Friendly, fun and funky, the cute Citroen C3 Pluriel has more curves than Silverstone, more style than Saville Row and more personality than Graham Norton, combining all the practicality of a 4-seater supermini with all the fun of a convertible. Yet despite being five cars in one it remains eye-catching and loveable in each of its different poses.

At the distinctive front end, large chrome chevrons on the smooth bonnet proudly confirm C3 Pluriel as part of the Citroen family. Sleek, sculpted clear lens headlamps, with stylish opaque ‘dimpled’ sections, curve around the bonnet, whilst below the body colour coded bumpers, with their integrated black rubbing strips, two circular fog lamps are embedded either side of the large air intake grille.

The line of the bonnet breaks to introduce the visually striking and sweeping arch that is so unique to the C3 Pluriel, and which curves through to the rear. From the side, the high waistline gradually rises towards the centre of the pillarless window area before levelling off at the rear of the car, while stylish 15” alloy wheels on 1.6i 16V models serve to nicely round off the car’s great looks.

A glance at the rear of the vehicle reveals a straight-sided tailgate flanked by ‘techno-style’ wraparound light clusters, also in clear lens. The stylish rear end features chrome C I T R O Ë N lettering running under the rear window, just above the high-level brake light and chrome chevrons. The chunky bumpers with built-in reflectors give C3 Pluriel a true leisure vehicle look.

The curvy theme of the exterior is matched on the inside by the swooping lines of the sculpted two-tone dashboard, the aluminium-effect spherical air vents, semi-circular instrument panel, curved door handles and round speakers.

Although the C3 Pluriel shares a similar stylish look to the C3, in fact every external body panel is unique, while a closer look inside reveals additional styling details: long aluminium-effect grab handles that stretch from front to rear and also serve as armrests, body-coloured inserts on the front door panels, rear panels and back of the front seats, as well as four chunky, individual arched head restraints.

Adding to the fun and vibrant feel inside the C3 Pluriel, passengers are treated to some ultra-cool, modern upholstery designs, with integrated C3 Pluriel logos on the front seats, that are not only hard-wearing and weather resistant but which also look sensational and feel comfortable.
