The Citroen C3 Pluriel | Part Two

C3 Pluriel

Citroen C3 Pluriel

Not just great to look at, the Citroen C3 Pluriel is both fun to drive, with its short overhangs and wide tracks hinting at its high levels of road holding and stability, as well as extremely safe, offering all occupants maximum peace of mind.

The C3 Pluriel’s unique, reinforced roof arches, strengthened windscreen pillars, extensively stiffened body shell and reinforced rear seats and head restraints with integral rollover bars, provide maximum protection in an impact and meet the strictest criteria of the German TUV – the world’s most stringent testing of a vehicle’s rollover resistance. In addition, all models are equipped with ABS, EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and EBA (Emergency Braking Assistance) plus four airbags and four 3-point inertia reel seat belts.

Available with the choice of two petrol engines, a 75hp 1.4i unit and a 110hp 1.6i 16V option, recommended retail prices for the C3 Pluriel are extremely affordable at just £11,995 and £13,595 respectively. Even the 1.6i 16V returns almost 43mpg on the combined cycle as well as a CO2 figure of just 157g/km, with a 0-62 mph time of just over 12 seconds and a top speed of 117 mph. And, as if that was not enough, 1.6i 16V models are fitted with the Company’s acclaimed rally-style SensoDrive gearbox, bringing drivers the excitement of rally-style paddle shift gear changes.

For owners of the C3 Pluriel, faced with the day-to-day costs associated with running a car, added reassurance is close at hand thanks to Citroen’s 3-year warranty, 12-year anti-corrosion warranty and long service intervals of 20,000 miles. Ultra low insurance ratings of 4 for the 1.4i and 6 for the 1.6i 16V will further increase confidence in the new model while keeping costs down.
