Citroen New Look Berlingo

Citroen’s New Look Berlingo is now on sale setting the standards for driver comfort, convenience and safety in the light van sector. As well as bold new front end styling the UK’s best-selling light van benefits from major safety and comfort improvements. And, since the New Look Berlingo was announced, its specification has been further improved with the addition of a full-width, over-screen storage compartment.

The New Look Berlingo range includes 600 and 800kg payload van models, with a choice of two trim levels (X and LX), an unmatched selection of nine different load access door configurations and an unrivalled range of five power options. In addition the New Look Berlingo range also includes a platform cab for specialist bodywork – a unique model in this sector of the light commercial vehicle market.

New Look Berlingo – Greater Safety

Under the skin the Berlingo body shell has been strengthened to further improve its primary safety in the event of a major accident. In addition to its New Look exterior the latest Berlingo has new front inner wings and a stronger cant rail.

Also the angle at which the engine is mounted has been changed and the battery has been repositioned. Both these moves have been made to provide further protection for the occupants in the event of a serious frontal impact.

The New Look Berlingo’s range of safety features also includes roll-over and side impact protection, extensive crumple zones, driver’s airbag, anti-submarine seats and pyrotechnic seat belt pre-tensioners.

All New Look Berlingos also benefit from running gear improvements. These changes, which are designed to provide greater refinement and even better ride and handling, include new damper control settings, revised front suspension spring rates and front and rear anti-roll bar rates. As a result greater roll stiffness has been achieved without compromising the Berlingo’s excellent ride characteristics.
