Citroen's Executive Clean-Up

Citroen Berlingo

The Executive Group Ltd has just expanded its fleet with the arrival of 36 new Citroen Berlingo and Relay vans. The vehicles will be used for the company’s new Transport for London (TfL) contract to clean 18,000 bus stops and bus shelters for London Buses.

Working at night, the 30 Berlingo 600D LX vans and six Relay 1500TD 2.0HDi medium wheelbase, high-roof vans will be operated by one and two man cleaning crews throughout London. Contract hired from HSBC Finance Ltd, the vehicles are being operated on three year, 15,000 mile per annum, with maintenance contracts.

To suit their night-time operational role, supplying Citroen dealer, Lovekyn of Kingston, has equipped the vehicles with rotating, roof-mounted amber beacons, rear mounted work lights, secondary electrical power systems and phenolic, water resistant flooring. In addition all the Citroen vans are equipped with satellite navigation systems, which provide management information for The Executive Group’s client.

David Noel, The Executive Group’s managing director (southern division), comments, "We see this new contract as the first step of a growing partnership with London Buses. As such this contract depends on reliable vehicles and our experience with Citroen vans on similar work in Merseyside has shown that they combine reliability with low cost of operation."

The Executive Group Ltd, which has regional headquarters in Liverpool and Wandsworth, London, is one of the UK’s largest cleaning contractors. The expanding company has 5,000 employees and provides a range of cleaning and security services for businesses throughout the UK.
