Citroen C4
Making parking easy, the new C4 is available with front and rear parking sensors, with both providing audible and visual warnings via the speakers and central display unit respectively.
The C4 also offers plenty of other useful features, such as automatic illumination of the headlamps, rain sensitive automatic windscreen wipers and even a tyre pressure detector.
A choice of Citroen’s NaviDrive system or Bluetooth technology offers the convenience of voice activation and hands-free use of the mobile phone, while an optional Hi-Fi system from sound experts JBL. This allows customers to specify a fantastic nine-speaker sound system that incorporates an MP3 Player, an amplifier and a subwoofer in the boot, bringing the effect of surround sound out of the living room and into the new C4.
The C4 is one of the safest and most secure cars in the class and includes significant steps to improve pedestrian protection. There are six airbags as standard, as well as ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Emergency Braking Assistance. Many models also feature the latest Electronic Stability Programme with Traction Control.
Another major advantage for the C4 is the availability of laminated acoustic side windows, as part of a security pack that also adds an alarm, which is standard on Exclusive and VTS models. Offering enhanced security, safety and refinement, the fitting of laminated side windows makes the C4 tough to break into, while minimising exterior noise to help make the cabin a calm and relaxed place to be.
Within the choice of twenty two models, there are four trim levels - the LX, SX, VTR Plus and Exclusive hatchbacks being matched by the VT, VTR, VTR Plus and VTS coupe models. When it comes to engines, the petrol options include 1.4i 16V and 1.6i 16V units as well as three 2.0i 16V versions delivering between 138hp and 180hp. For lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, buyers may opt for one of the diesels - a 92hp 1.6HDi, a 110hp 1.6HDi or a 138hp 2.0HDi.
Alain Favey managing director of Citroen UK, said,
"The C4 is set to make a big impression among both private and fleet buyers who will be drawn to its impressive combination of highly distinctive styling, safety and extremely advanced and useful technologies that significantly move the standard in the sector forwards."
