The Citroen DS3 Cabrio has gone on sale priced from £15,045 with the first deliveries taking place at the start of March 2013.
The Cabrio follows on from the DS3 which was launched nearly three years ago, with over 36,000 being registered in the UK. The five-seater Cabrio features an electrically operated folding roof can be fully opened or closed at speeds of up to 75mph, taking 16 seconds to fully close. It should be mentioned that the Cabrio is not a true convertible, the roof is more like a canvas sunroof that runs the length of the car, like the Fiat 500C.
The DS3 Cabrio has a foot print of 3.95m by 1.71m wide and 1.46m high with a boot capacity of 245-litres. There are five-seats with space according to Citroen to accommodate five adults in comfort – the features a 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat.
At launch the Citroen DS3 Cabrio will be available with three petrol engines - VTi 82, VTi 120 and THP 155. The VTi engines are mated with 5-speed manual gearboxes and the THP 155 is twinned with a 6-speed manual transmission. Fuel economy is up to 57.6mpg on a combined cycle, with CO2 emissions from just 112g/km.
DS3 Cabrio is available in three trim levels - DSign, DStyle & DSport - with prices starting £15,045 for the VTi 82 DSign rising to £19,675 for the THP 155 DSport.
