Citroen C-Cactus

We reported earlier today on Citroen's new concept car the Citroen C-Cactus - since then new fuel consumption figures have been published and it is even less thirsty than originally thought.

New figures show that the innovative weight saving measures have been even more effective than originally stated, making the ultra environmentally-friendly vehicle able to achieve close to the landmark 100mpg.

The radical new concept which contains a drastically reduced number of components, compared to a conventional car, weighs just 1180kg, meaning that it can achieve a staggering 97.4mpg on the combined fuel consumption cycle.
