Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.2 CRD Limited
Build Quality
As you would expect of DaimlerChrysler the build quality is excellent and there were no intrusive rattles to contend with. The materials used are of a very high standard and should prove durable in the long term.
Value For Money
The PT Cruiser is excellent value for money and the 2.2 CRD Limited model at £17,200 offers a high level of standard equipment at a very competitive price. The diesel engine is both powerful and surprisingly frugal returning a combined figure of 40.9 mpg.
Overall Opinion
With its 'love it or hate it' styling the PT Cruiser is certainly not a vehicle for shrinking violets as it attracts attention wherever it goes. I must admit that I was a bit dubious of its styling to begin with but on driving it I was really impressed. The build quality is excellent as its is cruising ability. If you are looking for a multi purpose vehicle that offers excellent fuel economy, performance and distinctive styling then the PT Cruiser is the vehicle for you. It just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
