Chrysler Golf Challenge Is Taylormade For Ladies

UK's Largest Corporate Ladies Tournament

Chrysler has announced that its annual Golf Challenge will have a unique format this year - a Ladies only tournament.

With support from TaylorMade-adidas Golf, the three-stage competition tees off with a series of medal days organised by Chrysler dealerships up and down the country and their local golf clubs.

The winners of four handicap categories will form a team that represents the host dealership at one of eight regional finals, the winners of which will ultimately experience a two-day, all-expenses paid, dream golfing event staged at Scotland’s world famous golf resort, The Westin Turnberry in Ayrshire.

The decision to sponsor a totally Ladies event in 2004 follows Chrysler’s support of the Ladies British Open at Royal Lytham last year.

Simon Elliott, Managing Director of Chrysler, said: "This is the fourth year Chrysler has supported a national tournament. In previous Chrysler Golf Challenges ladies have made up around one third of the total field, so this year we decided to do something different and fully support this growing area of the sport. This tournament is the largest corporate challenge for ladies in the UK and we are very happy to be associated with it.

"Golf is a major part of Chrysler’s sponsorship calendar and we look forward to hosting lady golfers at events throughout the country in 2004.
