TV Star Ross Goes Batty Over New Chrysler

Chrysler Crossfire

Television and radio star Jonathan Ross helped give the new Chrysler Crossfire sports coupe its UK debut at the British International Motor Show at the NEC.

He was so impressed he decided he wants to be the first person in the UK to take delivery of the new vehicle when it arrives in November 2003.

“It’s the closest thing to the Batmobile you can get that’s street-legal, and I love the design, especially the back end. I like the back end of most things, but this is particularly impressive,” he quipped.

Managing director of Chrysler and Jeep in the UK Simon Elliott said: “I’m thrilled that Jonathan wants to get into a Crossfire and we will help him make sure that’s exactly what happens – both here at the Show and when he takes ownership of one next year.”

The Crossfire is powered by a 3.2-litre V6 engine, is estimated to have a top speed of 148 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds.
