The Chrysler Group has passed a major milestone in the marque's history - 150,000 cars registered in the UK.

Since the arrival of the Chrysler Group in the UK 11 years ago, the manufacturer has seen its customer base grow steadily. Part of the success lies in the recently launched sports coupe, the Crossfire. Introduced in November last year, the Crossfire attracted a new wave of customers to the brand and sales for the first quarter of 2004 are looking particularly strong.

The legendary Jeep® brand has made the biggest contribution to this milestone with over 45,000 Cherokee and 35,000 Grand Cherokee customers getting behind the wheel. The best-selling Chrysler vehicle is the popular Voyager people carrier, with more than 33,000 registered in the UK since its launch in 1997.

Simon Elliott, Managing Director of the Chrysler Group in the UK said: "I am delighted at reaching this milestone and the continued success of the business.

"Chrysler and Jeep customers want individual and attractive cars as well as exceptional levels of service and care. Our success is testament to a great team of committed, professional dealers and talented, dedicated staff.

"We are looking forward to taking the Chrysler Group on to even greater levels of success in the UK."

The company offers an extensive UK line-up of vehicles, which includes the Chrysler PT Cruiser, Crossfire and Voyager and the Jeep brand’s Wrangler, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee, all of which are available in many different equipment and engine guises.
