A Compact Hatchback RANGE That’s Roomy and STYLISH
  • Designed with character and personality by Giugiaro
  • Excellent interior space in its class, especially at the rear
  • Three four-cylinder petrol engines from 93 to 122 Ps
The new Daewoo Lacetti continues GM Daewoo’s product offensive in the UK market. The five-door hatchback follows the 2003 launched Nubira in a new series of compact cars, with a station wagon to come in September 2004. Thanks to its generous dimensions, the new Lacetti is one of the most spacious vehicles in its class, particularly at the rear.

Its elegant, characterful design by Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, wide-ranging comfort and safety features, extremely favourable prices and lively four-cylinder engines make it a particularly attractive proposition for design-orientated, younger drivers. The model range is simple, with just three derivatives packed with features and both models come with Daewoo’s full three-year free servicing, warranty and AA roadside assistance package for hassle-free motoring.

Efficient Performance

The entry-level Lacetti 1.4SE has a 93 Ps engine that takes it to a top speed of 109 mph. Fuel consumption is a modest 39.8 mpg in the MVEG combined cycle. The next model is the Lacetti 1.6SX, with a 109 Ps engine, a top speed of 116.2 mph and equally moderate fuel consumption of 39.8 mpg. The 1.6 litre engine can also be ordered with an electronically controlled, four-speed automatic transmission. Mid-year, the line-up will be joined by a flagship Lacetti with a 1.8 litre engine generating 122 Ps.
