It is the newest company at the British International Motor Show, having been created only six days ago, and it was launching its Kalos range in the UK.

The company is GM Daewoo and, according to its managing director Andy Carroll its creation is expected to see the continuation of the high levels of service previously offered at the ‘old’ Daewoo. In addition, the new company will provide a platform for the launch of many more products in the future.

“Our strategy is clear and simple: to be the very best with customer service. And as products are our lifeblood there will be many more to come in the future,” said Carroll.

In the UK these begin with the Kalos range that starts with the entry level five-door 1.2 S at £7,495 and move up to the top end with the 1.4 SX at £8,395. Further additions to the growing GM Daewoo range will include a 1.0 litre 62bhp version of the Matiz that will be introduced early next year.
