SsangYong UK Cars has agreed to take over after-sales service and warranty on Musso and Korando models sold through Daewoo Cars Limited.
The SsangYong built Musso and Korando 4x4s were sold by Daewoo Cars Limited and following the administration of that company in October 2002, GM Daewoo UK Ltd, as a goodwill gesture, offered to continue to support free servicing and warranty support for these vehicles in the absence of a SsangYong importer in the UK.
Subsequently SsangYong UK Cars has become established as the official importer of SsangYong vehicles for Great Britain and has now agreed to take over service and warranty work on these vehicles, manufactured by SsangYong and sold by Daewoo Cars Limited.
GM Daewoo UK Ltd will continue to honour the free servicing element for those vehicles still within the three-year free service period through its retail network but with immediate effect, owners of these products can avail themselves of both service and warranty support provided by the vehicle’s original manufacturer.
GM Daewoo is writing to all owners of Musso and Korando products to explain the transition to this new situation.Published 30 April 2004
