GM Daewoo Customer Assistance Centre Announced

First With Central Vehicle Service Booking
Announced at the British International Motor Show is a new initiative from Daewoo that is believed to be a first for the retail motor industry sector in the UK. GM Daewoo UK’s newly established Customer Assistance Centre will offer retail customers a centralised vehicle service booking facility.

Customers wishing to book their Daewoo car in for service simply call 0800 060606. The assistant taking the call will assist the customer by identifying their nearest dealer and particular service required and will be able to book their service at a convenient time for the customer.

“We believe that this is a first in the UK retail market with a service that has been available in the past only to fleet users,” said Andy Carroll, managing director of GM Daewoo UK Ltd. He added: “The Daewoo experience is based upon a no-hassle customer proposition whether it be in the process of buying a car or ongoing ownership. Although other manufacturers offer this service on a web page, we believe that centralised service booking directly with an assistant is a more comforting experience. It also takes yet another potentially stressful element out of the ownership process.” This operation will be of particular interest to frequent travellers or those who may have recently moved house

Daewoo cars can now be serviced through a network of 30 Distributors and 51 AA Service Centres across the UK. The total number is set to grow to around 100 by 2002 year end.
