A Family MPV Where Value Excels
The Chevrolet Tacuma is the company’s five-seat family mpv. It’s full of practical features, including three individual removable rear seats, underfloor storage and lots more. The Tacuma also benefits from excellent packaging with lots of interior space and legroom and a great view, particularly in the rear, where with the low waistline and seats set higher than the front, visibility is superb. Standard side airbags enhance the safety of the 2005 Tacuma.
Two fully-equipped models at excellent prices
The Tacuma range consists of just two models - the 1.6 SX priced at £10,995 and the 2.0 CDX at £11,995. Automatic transmission is available on the latter for £1000. Both derivatives are comprehensively equipped offering superb value for money.
The Chevrolet Tacuma is a particularly family-friendly companion, offering outstanding versatility. With its length of 4.35 metres, it takes up no more road space than a conventional station wagon, but with its height of 1.58 metres, its variable seating arrangement and attention to day-to-day details, offers much greater benefits for a growing family.
The rear compartment of the Tacuma is fitted with three individual seats. Each seat can be folded up separately, pushed up against the front seats for a flat load floor or taken out completely. With five people on board, the loadspace area holds a respectable 347 litres, but if the rear seats are removed, the capacity of 1,847 litres almost reaches commercial vehicle proportions.
Practical detailing
Numerous practical details show how much thought the design team gave to the day-to-day use of the Tacuma mpv: The sunglasses compartment in the roof console, cup holders in the centre console at the front and in the armrest/picnic table on the back of the centre rear seat, pop-up picnic tables at the back of the front seats themselves incorporating cup holders, a hook for shopping bags or that evening take-away and a 12-Volt sockets in the centre console, are just some examples. A useful feature in all models is that all three rear seats can be removed individually.
