The introduction of Chevrolet into the UK market sees the debut of another new car - the flagship of the Lacetti five-door range, Lacetti Sport.
The Lacetti five-door family hatchback has already received a great deal of positive comment for style and value - it was designed by the acclaimed Italian stylist Giugiaro.
The new Chevrolet Lacetti Sport adds further style cues that enhance the design without compromising its already good looks. With sports-style, two-tone leather trim, lowered suspension, a full body kit, sports exhaust, leather steering wheel and gear knob, all fitted as standard, Lacetti Sport offers a high level of style, comfort and safety (with front and side airbags and anti-lock brakes as standard) and above all, is exceptional value for money.
Additional items unique to this Sport variant are a sports-style grille with mesh intake, sporty pedals, door sill finishers, a tailgate spoiler and even unique floor mats featuring a ‘Sport’ logo. The car is aimed at young single people and families looking for an appealing contemporary car with lots of interior space that stands out from the crowd. Lacetti Sport is available for £11,995 on the road complete with the Chevrolet complete care package.
Lively performance with economy
Lacetti Sport is not an overt GTi but neither is it a slouch. Powered by a 1.8 litre 16 valve engine developing 122 Ps at 5,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 165 Nm at 4,000 rpm, it has a top speed of 120 mph, a 0-62 time of 9.5 seconds and returns 37.6 mpg on the combined (MVEG) cycle.
The Lacetti five-door model line up comprises just three derivatives. It is an uncomplicated range and is fully equipped as standard, leaving little to be desired. The three derivatives are - 1.4SE and 1.6SX, with Lacetti Sport completing the range.
Lacetti Sport - totally equipped
As the flagship Lacetti model, Lacetti Sport has few options since it is totally equipped with a wide range of stylish and practical features including air conditioning, front and side airbags, power steering, ABS, unique-style 16" alloy wheels with hi-power silver finish, height-adjustable driver's seat, rake and reach adjustment for the steering column, keyless entry central door locking and there are powered and heated door mirrors and electric windows all-round.
In addition to the two-tone leather/alcantara interior, the steering wheel and gear knob are also leather-covered. Exterior door handles and bodyside mouldings are colour-keyed. Lacetti Sport features a Blaupunkt single CD player as standard and, new to this market sector, a DAB digital radio, single CD player as an option. Six speakers for exceptional sound quality, along with steering wheel audio controls, are standard on the Lacetti Sport.
