The BMW Group has reached one of its most important targets for this year - to increase volume sales of BMW and MINI brand automobiles to more than one million vehicles. Today, Monday, 16th December, Karsten Engel, Head of the BMW Group's Munich branch, handed over the millionth automobile which was a BMW 730d Individual in carbon black-metallic.

With 46,200 automobiles delivered to customers by the end of November, the BMW 7 Series is making an important contribution to the success of the BMW Group. The BMW 7 Series six and eight cylinder diesel models were launched in the market in October this year. With a diesel share in Europe of around 40% in the upper class, the BMW Group is expecting the 7 Series diesel models to boost sales even further. Altogether, the company sold more than 976,000 automobiles up to the end of November, of which 842,000 were BMW cars and 134,000 were MINIs.
