BMW 3 Series Price Change

Published: 3rd April 2002
BMW 3 Series Saloon, Coupe, Touring and Convertible prices will rise by an average of one per cent on 1 May 2002. Prices for the recently-launched Compact will not change.

This is an economic price rise affecting all BMW's European markets. Prices in mainland Europe will rise by a larger amount - 1.8 per cent - and will affect the whole BMW model line-up (MINI is not affected). In the UK, there are no changes to prices apart from those of the 3 Series. The differential between UK and European prices will, therefore, reduce.

The last price increase for the BMW 3 Series was in September 2001, when there was a model facelift, the introduction of new VALVETRONIC engines and the addition of specification. The effect of the additional specification alone cancelled out the price increase. The last price increase before that was for the Saloon only in July 1999. In the interim there was a downward price realignment in September 2000.
